PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a box-type container in which some granular particles contained in the box are prevented from entering into a clearance between a box main body and a reinforcing plate, staying there, sucking moisture content and being solidified at a commodity transferring step ranging from its production stage to a reaching to a consumer or a step of use performed by the consumer, and further a sufficient strength is found at either a circumferential wall of the box main body or a ceiling surface of a lid part to prevent the container from being easily deformed. SOLUTION: There is provided a box-type container for use in storing some powder-like particles comprised of a parallel-piped box main body 1; and a lid part 2 applied to cover an upper opening surface of the box main body in such a way that it can be opened or closed. Reinforcing plates 3 are adhered in spot along at least the front plate 13 and the right and left side plates 12, 13 of the box main body. The lower side of each of the reinforcing plates 3 is formed with a recess part 36 so as to cause some granular particles entered into a clearance between the box main body 1 and each of the reinforcing plates 3 to be returned back into the box main body 1.
