METHOD FOR REMOVING PHOSPHORUS IN WASTEWATER FROM BEER FACTORY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove phosphorus with the amount of aluminum ions to be added minimized. SOLUTION: Acidic aluminum chloride containing free hydrochloric acid is added into wastewater from a beer factory to form a fine flock. The free hydrochloric acid prevents the polymerization of the aluminum chloride and effects the pH adjustment of the wastewater high in alkalinity. Next, an anionic polymer flocculant is added to aggregate/precipitate the flock.
