PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to quickly view the program of high popularity or concern by automatic switching to the channel of a high rating program. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a means 100 for a connection with a network 20, a means 101 for receiving/acquiring the rating data of a program under broadcasting in real time from a data center 30 on the network 20, and a means 105 for selecting the channel of the high rating on the basis of the received/acquired rating data and tuning a present video reproducing channel to such a channel.
