PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a sandwich winding operation to be efficiently carried out even in a transformer using a plate-like metal plate winding. SOLUTION: A usual winding 2, a metal plate winding 10, and another usual winding 4 are sandwich-wound in this sequence on a core 1, connection terminals 10a and 10b are provided to both sides of the winding start end of the metal plate winding 10, and connection terminals 10c and 10d are provided to both sides of the winding terminal end of the metal plate winding 10, so that a turbulence occurs less in a current distribution than that occurs in a case of providing connection terminals to the one side of the winding, and the transformer can thereby be improved in efficiency. As the connection terminals are bent outward, the connection terminals 10a to 10d get more distant from the core 1, so that it is not necessary that a contact between an external connection wire and the core is taken into consideration, and the transformer can be reduced in size.
