PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for driving an objective lens which is easily assembled by decreasing the number of parts by eliminating a part for keeping the neutral position of the objective lens, generates little vibration during operation due to a gap between bearings, and has increased sensitivity of driving thereby to have low power consumption. SOLUTION: The device is so composed that magnets 8 and 9 are disposed, a lens holder 6 which holds the objective lens 7 is freely turnably supported by a supporting shaft 5, arm parts 3a and 4a of a base 2 formed of a magnetic material for mounting a coil are formed at positions which are opposite to the magnets 8 and 9, respectively, thus spring forces are exerted in X-axis and Z-axis directions.
