PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater communication apparatus in which the presence of matter desired to report to a specific diver party can be surely messaged to the other diver by extremely simple operation as well as in an emergency, and further, it is possible to enjoy diving without frightening fish around the diver. SOLUTION: In the device of a water-proof watch type configured by attaching a wrist band 3 to a main body part 2, the main body part 2 is provided with an operating button 5 to be operated when the communication of an intention is required, a transmitting part 10 for transmitting an inaudible calling signal into water at a prescribed frequency corresponding to the operation of this operation button 5, a receiving part 11 for receiving the calling signal propagated in water, and a vibrator 12 for vibrating the main body part 2 on the basis of the calling signal received by the receiving part 11.
