A number of electronic modules (1) are used as engine and fuel injection control circuits (ZEM1-4) in road vehicles and are connected by a CAN (Controller Area Network) data bus (4). Each module contains a CAN-Bus transceiver (2) and a voltage comparator (3). The CAN bus is connected to a network controller (5) which incorporates a motor control system (MSG) and a voltage source (6).
