The present invention relates to a sawing wire, comprising an abrasive mixture (2), which contains a bonding resin and an abrasive material, as well as a multifilament core made of fibres (1) which are resistant to breaking. Said fibres are substantially arranged parallel to each other and enveloped by the abrasive mixture (2), the area between the fibres (1) being filled with said abrasive mixture (2). Said sawing wire is characterized in that the bonding resin does not contain polytetrafluoroethylene and/or in that the quantity of abrasive material in said abrasive mixture (2) gradually decreases from the surface of the abrasive wire to the inner area, said sawing wire being suitable for cutting hard and brittle materials such as single-crystal silicon. |
