THERMOPLASTIC RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR SWIMMING GOGGLES

PURPOSE: A thermoplastic rubber composition for swimming goggles is provided, to allow the feeling of wearing and the sealing to be maintained for a long time and to enable the swimming goggles to be manufactured without employing a curing agent and the curing process. CONSTITUTION: The thermoplastic rubber composition comprises 20-80 wt% of a thermoplastic rubber; 5-30 wt% of a propylene resin; 0-30 wt% of an ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer rubber; 20-80 wt% of a plasticizer; 5-30 wt% of a filler; 0.1-2 wt% of a stabilizer; and 0.1-10 wt% of a stabilizer. Preferably the thermoplastic rubber is a di-block or tri-block styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene; the filler is at least one selected from the group consisting of talc, calcium carbonate, silica, carbon black, barium sulfate, clay and titanium oxide; the plasticizer is a paraffin or naphthene-based wax or oil; and the stabilizer is at least one selected from the group consisting of a phenol-based antioxidizing agent, and an amine or triazole-based UV stabilizer.
