<p>The invention concerns a method for determining hydraulic permeability of a material (10), in particular, of a permeable soil, by electroosmotic process. The method comprises the following steps: substantially saturating said material (10) with water; imparting an electric field into said material (10) between two points (16'A, 16'C), measuring the potential difference of said material (10) between two points in a uniform part of said electric field; measuring the hydraulic pressure difference in said material (10) between two points in a uniform part of said electric field; measuring the water flow rate moving inside said material (10) under the action of said imposed electrical gradient; and calculating the hydraulic permeability of said material (10) based on the measured values of said potential difference, of said pressure difference and of said water flow rate.</p> |
