<p>Use of a protein or of a peptide fraction thereof comprising at least one repeating unit of said protein, said protein being selected from a group of proteins designated Eap (Extracellular adherence protein), for the manufacture of a drug to be given to a mammal suffering from an inflammatory condition or from a cancer or being susceptible of developing a tumour metastasis. The inflammatory condition may be a non-bacterial or bacterial inflammation. A suitable dose is in the range of from about 0.2 mg/kg of body weight to 20 mg/kg of bodyweight by systemic administration and from about 0.2 mg/kg of body weight to 100 mg/kg body weight by local administration.</p> |
