GAUGE EXAMINATION DEVICE USING NAMEPLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly and easily conduct gauge reading work of a gas meter. SOLUTION: A nameplate is fixed on a gas meter, on which a bar code is formed. The bar code indicates a discrimination code of the gas meter. The bar code on the nameplate is formed on a thin oxide film formed on the surface of a stainless steel plate by immerging in solution mixed with chromic acid and sulfuric acid, and selectively etching it. The content read with the bar code is indicated with a display and the information indicating the date of plug opening and the production company of the gas meter and the like are indicated on the display. The used quantity of gas is input with an inputting means and stored in a memory. The stored content in the memory is forwarded to a data base memory by connecting to a host computer after bringing the gauge-reading device back to a place of work.
