METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING POLYOLEFIN OPEN AND CLOSE CELLS-CONTAINING FOAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly manufacture polyolefin open and close cells-containing foam by an expansion step without a cell breakage step in the conventional technique. SOLUTION: An expandable resin composition, which comprises 100 pts.wt. of a crosslinking-proceeding composition comprising a component (A): a modified olefinic polymer modified with an unsaturated carboxylic anhydride and an unsaturated carboxylate ester, where the average number of the bonded carboxylic anhydride group in one molecule is at least one and the ratio of the number of the carboxylate ester group to the number of the carboxylic anhydride group in the modified olefinic polymer is 0.5-20 and a component (B1): a hydroxyl group-containing compound bearing at least two hydroxyl groups and/or a component (B2): a hydroxyl group-containing polymer having an average number of the bonded hydroxyl group of at least one in one molecule, the ratio of the number of the hydroxyl group in the component (B1) and/or the component (B2) to the number of the carboxylic anhydride group in the component (A) being 0.1-5, and 1-30 pts.wt. of a thermally decomposable chemical blowing agent, is crosslinked and subsequently expanded with heat at a temperature where the heat distortion ratio of the expandable resin composition is 65-99% to give an open and closed cells-containing foam.
