PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building material which more effectively utilizes vermiculite as a natural resource, can satisfy demand of humidity conditioning and/or deodorizing and further of beautiful appearance, is excellent in balance between amount and speed of absorption/discharge of moisture in particular and further has improved bending strength, flexibility and productivity. SOLUTION: In a composition for the building material which is constituted by compounding a base material with unswollen vermiculite and in which compounded quantity is 0.5 to 70 mass% of total composition (solid), parts of <=300μm of unswollen vermiculite is 0.5 to 15 mass% of the total composition (solid). |
