PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger for a vehicular heater suppressing size increase in a blown air flow direction, improving mounting performance and providing strong attachment of an electric wiring cover by a minimum composition. SOLUTION: The heat exchanger for the vehicular heater has an electrical heating element 210 inserted in a holding plate 200 provided instead of a tube 111, and the electric wiring cover 300 provided with mutually connected wiring member 320 and lead terminal member 330. The electrical heating element 210 is connected with the lead terminal member 330. An insertion guide 314 protruding toward a core part 110 side and an engaging part 315 engaged with a side plate 113 are provided in the electric wiring cover 300. The electric wiring cover 300 is arranged on a surface of a core part 110 in a side opened with the holding plate 200. The insertion guide 314 is inserted in the holding plate 200 and the engaging part 315 is engaged with the side plate 113.
