PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain black composite particle powder which is black composite particle powder useful as a black pigment, a coloring material for a coating material and a resin composition, a filler, or the like, can be provided with various kinds of functions such as electric properties according to uses and has excellent light resistance, tinting strength, dispersibility in a vehicle. SOLUTION: The black composite particle powder comprises composite particle powder which is obtained by coating the particle surface of white inorganic particle powder having <2.0 refractive index with a paste and in which black pigment is adhered to the coating film. The total amount of the black pigment adhered to the coating film is 1-500 parts wt. based on 100 parts wt. of the white inorganic particle powder.
