PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle operating device for making ineffective the operation of an operator body mounted with an operating member, in the case that the operating member operates wrong when displacing the operator body during the travel of a vehicle. SOLUTION: The vehicle operating device comprises an operation lever 10 provided on the operator body 11, operation position sensors 26, 36 for detecting the operation lever 10, and a steering control device 44 for controlling the vehicle depending on the position of the operation lever 10, wherein a fastener 14 and a fixation cancelling switch 19 are provided for fixing the operator body 11 and for cancelling the fixation of the operator body 11 with the fastener 14, respectively. By controlling an electric control device 41, the operation of the operation lever 10 is made effective during the fixation of the operator body 11 and the operation of the operation lever 10 is made ineffective during the fixation cancellation of the operator body 11. If there is displaced the operation lever 10 by a preset valueαor more during the fixation cancellation of the operator body 11, the electric control device 41 makes the operation of the operation lever 10 effective. |
