PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain image data of high quality by an image processor which is adaptive to a still document read and a moving document read by eliminating a position shift of a cover unit which can be elevated from a main body unit during the moving document read. SOLUTION: The hinge unit for pivoting the cover unit on the main body unit in a free openable/closable state has a fitting-in part which is fitted in a hinge reception part provided in the main body unit and can slide up and down in the hinge reception part, a hinge fitting part which is fixed to the cover unit, a rotary shaft which connects the fitting-in part and hinge fitting part rotatably to each other, and a position engagement part which engages the hinge reception part of the main body unit or a positioning support member provided nearby it when the cover unit is at its closure position while having its reverse surface brought into contact with the top surface of the main body unit; when the cover unit is closed to the main body unit, the closure position of the cover unit for the main body unit is guided to a specified position. |
