PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a service authenticating method and a system device which make it possible to authenticate the adequacy of a plurality of service providers, set on a single server, from a client terminal. SOLUTION: The service authenticating method and system device are equipped with a service provider authentication setting part 23 which stores open key certificates given to the plurality of service providers and corresponding secret keys, an authentication information generation part 24 which generates response data with the stored secret keys, a service providing server part 21 which returns the generated response data through a network 3 together with the open key certificates, a service provider authentication control part 12 which deciphers the received response data with the open key included in the received open key certificate to authenticate the adequacy of a corresponding service provider, and a contents display part 11 which displays a message showing that contents regarding an acquisition request are managed by the proper service provider when the authentication of the adequacy of the service provider is successful. |
