PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system for the operating time of an apparatus that can read out a time when the apparatus is operating at any time via a network by a user to monitor it. SOLUTION: A plurality of IC testers are individually connected to a network 40 via a data line concentrator 31 and a converter 32 and the operating time data of these IC testers are periodically and automatically transmitted the network 40. The operating time data transmitted from each IC tester to a data collector 50 connected to this network 40 is totalized every IC tester to be recorded. A user accesses the data collector 50 with a workstation and a personal computer connected to the network 40 and then read out the recorded operating time data of each IC tester to monitor it.
