PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an amino group-containing polysiloxane having an aryl group, having less stickiness and slimy feeling and capable of imparting an excellent gloss and smooth touch feeling to the hair, in a good efficiency and at a low cost. SOLUTION: This method for producing the amino group-containing polysiloxane is obtained by heating for reacting a polyorganosiloxane having an aryl group bonded with silicon atom with a silicone oligomer containing the amino group and having at least one amino or substituted amino group bonded with >=1 trifunctional siloxy unit through an alkylene group in the presence of a base catalyst. As the amino group-containing silicone oligomer, e.g. the oligomer expressed by general formula (3) shown in the specification, and having 5-300 cP (at 25 deg.C) viscosity and 1-10 wt.% amine content can be used.
