PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface shape detector capable of minimizing the breakage of a switching element. SOLUTION: This surface shape detector is provided with a plurality of detecting electrodes for detecting the capacitance with an object to be detected, which are arranged in a matrix shape; a switching element connected to each detecting electrode; and a discharge electrode for discharging the static electricity possessed by the object to be detected, and characterized in that each switching element is arranged in a position sufficiently separated from the discharge electrode so that the switching element is not broken by the current resulted from the discharge of the static electricity by the object to be detected and carried to the discharge electrode. |
