PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aromatic ring-containing organic resin composition having excellent formability and flame retardancy. SOLUTION: This flame-retardant resin composition is characterized by comprising (A) 100 pts.wt. of an aromatic ring-containing organic resin, (B) 0.01 to 4 pts.wt. of an epoxy group-containing organopolysiloxane, and (C) 0.01 to 20 pts.wt. of an aryl group-containing branched organopolysiloxane represented by an average molecular formula: (R<1> 3 SiO1/2 )a (R<2> 2 SiO2/2 )b (R<3> SiO3/2 )c (SiO4/2 )d (R<4> O1/2 )e (HO1/2 )f .
