PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oligopeptide having a hair growth accelerating effect. SOLUTION: The oligopeptide is described in either one of the following (1) to (3). (1) the oligopeptide comprising 8 to 20 amino acid residues including the following amino acid sequences (I), (II) or (III), and having the hair growth accelerating effect: Ser-Ile-Glu-Gln-Cys-Ser-Asp-Gln (I) Ser-Ile-Glu-Cys-Gln-Ser- Asp-Gln (II) Ser-Ile-Cys-Glu-Gln-Ser-Asp-Gln (III) (2) the oligopeptide comprising 8 to 20 amino acid residues including the above amino acid sequences (I), (II) or (III) in which one or several number of amino acids are deficient, substituted, and/or inserted, and having the hair growth accelerating effect same as the (1); (3) the modified oligopeptide of the (1) or (2) and having the hair growth accelerating effect same as the (1) or (2).
