PURPOSE: A method and a material for bonding header pipe of heat exchanger are provided to bond the header pipe with tube and bracket firmly and prevent the bonding state of the components from breaking by coating a binder on part to be bonded with the tube and fixed part of the header pipe during extrusion of the header pipe. CONSTITUTION: In manufacturing a header pipe for heat exchanger, the method for bonding the header pipe of heat exchanger is characterized in that the binder is manufactured into hot metals (2,3) by manufacturing a binder in a wire shape using a Al-Si material powder, the wire type hot metals (2,3) are installed in a reel shape in the upper part of a power supply part, arc electric discharge is generated according to contact of the hot metals by impressing a power source from the power supply part to the hot metals (2,3), the Al-Si material powder is fused to be coated on parts of the heat exchanger as spraying the hot metals (2,3) that are the binder to be molten by ejecting compressed air generated from a compressor onto a melting part (4) in front of the hot metals (2,3), a flux (KAlF4, CSAlF4) powder material is fused to be coated on the coating layer, the coated matrix surface is heated to a temperature of 400 to 620 deg.C using matrix heat or extrusion heat during fusion coating, and the flux is coated through high speed collision of the heated surface of the flux powder material by free drop, air and gas at an ordinary temperature.
