PURPOSE: Provided is an elastic fastener which makes ease of binding or releasing documents with keeping binding state stable in spite of the increased thickness of documents so that it gives convenience in binding the documents. CONSTITUTION: The elastic fastener is characterized by comprising the parts of: an elastic member(20) which is fixed at one edge of left and right fixed part(21) of a main body(10) and desirably configured as a rubber band to limit maximum extension distance and lower frictional constant; and a female binding tool(30) and a male binding tool(40) which are fixed at the other edge of the left and right fixed part of the main body and configured in diameter and length to be inserted into a punching hole of documents easily.
