AIR BEARING SURFACE OF SLIDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new slider structure which uses an air bearing structure of high pitch stiffness used for a smooth medium driving device. SOLUTION: A cavity area is maximized by the recess of a front edge, and a pitch angle is simultaneously enlarged to achieve a space of a DLC pad necessary for smooth medium ABS designing. By the recess of area edge, a gram load sensitivity and floating standard deviation are reduced. A sensitivity responsive to height changes is reduced.
