PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which prevents defects of pictures taken by a plurality of camera to combine them, effectively utilizes pixel regions of imaging devices and obtains a high-quality picture. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is composed of a plurality of cameras, each having mechanisms 22, 23 making the relative position of a lens and an imaging device 24 adjustable in perpendicular directions to the optical axis of the lens. Using the mechanisms 22, 23 in the apparatus, the relative position of the lens and the imaging device 24 is moved in perpendicular directions to the optical axis of the lens to adjust so that rays of light passing through the optical axis of the lens form an image on the center of the imaging device 24.
