A signal processor processes infrared control signal received from an infrared remote controller (6), and delivers various commands for operating a pan/tilt camera (2) through a coaxial multiplex communication cable (7). An output unit transmits the commands received from the processor on the basis of a synchronizing signal during blanking period in which no video signal is generated by the camera.
