PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a display device for camera able to display a date without performing troublesome key operation. SOLUTION: Every time the release switch SW 4 of a camera 1 is pressed by a photographer, the photographing day of the first frame of film and the newest photographing day stored in a date storage part 12 are updated. When deciding that a power source is turned off by deciding the state of a PWSW 5, the date display of the days is automatically performed. Therefore, the troublesome key operation need not be performed. Furthermore, since date information is updated every time the release SW 4 is pressed, a memory free from errors can be performed.
