PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a sealing structure and sealing method which can seal a glass frame with good reliability and permit automation. SOLUTION: The sealing structure comprising arranging a foamed sealing material between a glass sheet and the frame and the sealing method for the glass frame consisting of a first process step of attaching the foamed sealing material to the end of the glass sheet and covering the upper and lower surfaces and the end face and a second process step of inserting the glass sheet into the frame from the foamed sealing material side and fixing the foamed sealing material in a compressed state.
