PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an egg container which can keep the same productivity as a conventional one, and for which a conventional automatic packaging machine or a container closing machine can be used as they are, and which can almost completely prevent bugs from entering the container, and can keep the freshness of eggs. SOLUTION: For this egg-packaging container, a sheet material made of a synthetic resin is swell-molded, and a container main body 1 and a lid body 2 are bendably and continuously formed through a bending section 5 on one side. In this case, for the container main body 1, a plurality of egg-housing recesses 11 and so forth in which the lower halves of eggs are housed are formed in a row. The lid body 2 is equipped with egg-housing recesses 21 which cover the upper halves of the eggs. In such an egg-packaging container, on either one of the container main body 1 and the lid body 2, protruding lines 3 for sealing having a U-shape cross sectional shape are formed extending to the peripheral edges of the egg- housing recesses 11 or the peripheral edges of the egg-housing recesses 21. Then, on the other part, protruding line fitted recesses 4 for sealing which receive the protruding lines 3 for sealing are formed on the peripheral edges of the egg-housing recesses 21 or the egg- housing recesses 11. Under a lid closed posture, the protruding lines 3 for sealing and the protruding line fitted recesses 4 for sealing are relatively fitted, and thus, this egg-packaging container has a structure by which the inside of the container can be sealed in a manner to be insect-proof.
