PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball holder capable of securely fixing a hard ball to prevent it from moving during work, and applicable to work to a mass quantity of balls. SOLUTION: Balls 3 subject to work are held by the ball holding device composed of a nut 2 comprising a cylinder part 20 and a bottom part 21 having a through-hole 22 with a rounded surface 23 in an inner circumferential surface to hold the ball 3 during work to protrude part of it toward the outer side, and a bolt 1 formed of a cylinder part 11 to press the ball 3 by a tip surface, and a main body 12 integrally connected to the cylinder part 11. In this case, for the rounded surface 23 in the through-hole 22 in the bottom part of the nut 2, a curvature center O1 is set to be eccentric under a curvature center O0 of the ball 2 as the ball 3 is held in the through-hole 22, and its curvature is set to be larger than curvature of the ball 3.
