PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a union nut from loosening and to keep it from being mischievously loosened. SOLUTION: This gas meter is provided with a cover 10 having holes for inserting a feeding gas pipe 5 and a delivering gas pipe 6 and covering the union nuts 7 and a gas meter body 8. The cover is provided with a fixing means 9 on the outer shell of the gas meter body 8 for fixing it thereby, the looseness of the union nut caused by a mischief or the like can be prevented.
