PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a product cutter unit for a paper diaper, and a method of cutting the paper diaper using the product cutter unit capable of smoothly and stably cutting the paper diaper while preventing flapping of the paper diaper. SOLUTION: This cutter unit is provided with a cutter roller 12 in which a plurality of cutters 13 provided with cutout parts 13a are provided at the prescribed pitch on the outer peripheral surface, and an anvil roller 14 provided directly below the cutter roller. A paper diaper band body conveyed in a gap between the cutter roller 12 and anvil roller 14 is successively notched with a cutter. When the notched paper diaper band body is conveyed from a conveyor 15a to a high speed conveyor 15b, the paper diaper band body is divided by tearing off the notches of the paper diaper band body, using the speed difference between the conveyor and the high speed conveyor.
