PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bulbous crop-preparing machine which can smoothly prepare a wide state range of bulbous crops (w) regardless of a difference in the shapes of the bulbous crops (w) such as onions and a difference in the properties of the crops, such as dryness, without damaging the bulbous crops in a stem-pulling and transporting portion. SOLUTION: In this bulbous crop-preparing machine which comprises bulbous crop-supporting and transporting means 12, 34, and a stem-pulling and transporting portion 14 disposed on the lower side of the supporting and transporting route and having a backward downward inclined nipping and transporting route for nipping and transporting the foliage portions (w2) of the bulbous crops (w) transported on the route, and in which a finishing cutter 35 provided at a constant height cuts off the foliage portions (w2) of the bulbous crops (w) from their spherical portions (w1) in a process for transporting the bulbous crops (w) fed on the transportation starting side to the transportation terminal end with the bulbous crop-supporting and transporting means 12, 34 and with the stem-pulling and transporting portion 14, the longitudinal inclination angle of the nipping transporting route can be changed and adjusted.
