PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfy the needs of a boundary face of a thrust bearing that copes with a displacement in a normal assembly. SOLUTION: In an electric motor, a shaft 12 is supported by a sleeve bearing 10, and the axial movement of the shaft 12 that penetrates the bearing 10 is restrained by a joining member 20 that is supported by a spacer 14 or by a part of the spacer. The joining member 20 has a thrust face 22 for supporting the end face 16 of the bearing 10 that forms a thrust/bearing boundary face. The thrust face 22 has a partially spherical profile in order to be adaptable to the variation of the displacement between the bearing 10 and the shaft 12 caused by a manufacturing error or the like.
