PURPOSE: A method for indicating the floor of an elevator and a recording medium reading by a computer recording the program thereof are provided not to make persons tedious, to exactly inform persons of a floor number got off in a high elevator going up and down by displaying various information as news, advertisements, building advertisements, and floor numbers to an image outputting device inside the elevator. CONSTITUTION: A method for indicating the floor of an elevator is composed of steps of initializing into a data transferring state(S100); setting a screen environment to a set information input by an operator for a screen setting information related to a floor indication(S200); receiving a floor number and an elevator moving direction moved to the control signal of an outer operation order(S300); converting the received direction of moving the elevator and the floor number into a data code according to a transfer protocol(S302); and indicating the converted moving direction of the elevator and the floor number on a screen to an environment setting conversion, and additionally indicating various information as news and advertisements received from the outside on a monitor of an image outputting device and the floor number and the moving direction of the elevator received to the operation order of the elevator on one side of the monitor(S304).
