APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MEASURING IMAGE DENSITY OF WET TYPE PRINTER

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for measuring an image density of a wet type printer are provided to accurately measure and correct the density of an image to obtain a normal printed image having a desired density. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for measuring an image density of a wet type printer includes a transfer medium(40), a heater(72), a density measurement sensor(73), and a cleaner(75). The transfer medium receives a patch image for test, formed according to a wet type developing unit(30) using a developer composed of mixture of a powder type toner and a liquid carrier. The heater heats the transfer medium to dry the patch image. The density measurement sensor irradiates light on the dried patch image and receiving lights reflected from the patch image to measure the density of the patch image. The cleaner eliminates the patch image from the transfer medium.
