The external transport on an aircraft of equipment such as bombs, remotely guided weapons, fuel tanks, etc. is facilitated by a means including two elements 1, 2 which, in flight, are situated side by side against the belly of the aircraft. The elements 1, 2 include hinge means 7, 8 on the outer edges 3, 4 in order to allow pivoting on the aircraft, and engagement elements 9 on their inner edges 5, 6 in order to engage the elements into one another and onto the aircraft, the arrangement being such that the elements 1, 2 can be tilted between the flight position and the non-flying position in order to allow access to the hidden areas. Each element 1, 2 has the shape of a compartment 10 capable of containing at least one equipment release and ejection unit 14, so that the units 14 can easily be placed to allow transport of very varied equipment. <IMAGE> |
