<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pulse removing device which removes noise possessed by optical pulse as the noise remains optical level. SOLUTION: An optical control pulse composed of an optical pulse train having a timing which temporally accords with the optical pulse of the object to be processed is generated, the optical pulse of the object to be processed and the generated optical control pulse are inputted to an optical gate means for time gate processing composed of non-linear loop mirror optical switch, etc., thereby subjecting the optical pulse of the object to be processed to the time gate processing. Then, from among the processed optical pulse, only the wavelength component of the optical pulse of the object to be processed is taken out, thereby removing the noise possessed by the optical pulse of the object to be processed. Further, the taken-out optical pulse of the object to be processed is inputted to the optical gate means for optical threshold processing composed of the non-linear loop mirror optical switch, etc., and, the noise which can not be removed by the time gate processing is removed.</p> |
