PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a jam at the time of accumulating slips and poor accumula tion. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a medium housing part for housing medium, a separation part for conveying the medium delivered from the housing part one by one, a reading part for reading information held on the medium, a medium accumulating part for sorting and accumulating the medium based on the information from the reading part, a delivery roller for delivering the medium to the medium accumulating part, and a medium guide for guiding the medium delivered from the delivery roller to the medium accumulating part. The end part of the medium guide on the medium accumulating part side is disposed apart from the medium accumulated in the medium accumulating part. When medium is delivered to the medium accumulating part by the delivery roller, the medium is accumulated along the medium guide.
