PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the efficiency of the nuclear fusion reaction of a nuclear fusion reactor. SOLUTION: The nuclear fusion reactor is provided with a reaction vessel 2, an inside vessel 3 which is coaxially installed inside the reaction vessel 2, an anode 1 as an ion beam source which is arranged on the central axis line of the inside vessel, a power-supply device 7 connected to the anode, a hydrogen injection device 5 which injects hydrogen gas into the inside vessel 3, a nuclear- fusion-source-material supply and purification device 10 which supplies a liquid nuclear fusion source material into the reaction vessel 2 and which purifies the source material, a porous substance 12 by which the source material supplied into the vessel arranged on the inner circumferential face of the reaction vessel 2 is fluidized by a capillary phenomenon and evacuation devices 8, 9 which take out the hydrogen gas in a space part between the reaction vessel 2 and the inside vessel 3, which remove the vapor of the hydrogen and that of the source material and which recover helium so as to be evacuated. When the source material which is fluidized inside the porous substance is irradiated with an ion beam radially irradiated from the ion beam source, a nonthermal nuclear fusion reaction is induced.
