A PROCESS FOR DETECTING FOOT-AND-MOUTH DISEASE VIRUS AND A KIT THEREFORE

The present application discloses a process for detecting FMDV, especially type O strain of FMDV, and a kit therefore. The process comprises isolating the RNA molecule from a biological sample and replicating a target molecule based on a NASBA method and detecting the target molecule with a detecting agent which includes the detecting molecule, wherein the target includes: (i) a nucleic acid sequence complementary to at least a portion of the RNA sequence of FMDV; and (ii) a nucleic acid sequence for binding to a detection molecule. The detection sensitivity is increased and the cost and time for detection are decreased compared with the prior art.
