PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum-type ice maker capable of preventing powder ice and the meltwater from flowing into an ice storage chamber. SOLUTION: Ice making water is filled between an ice making tank 12 and a cylinder drum 13, and the drum rotates while being cooled. A cutter 14 is firmly fixed in the tank, and a slope 15 provided with guards 16 on both sides is fixed in the cutter. A chute 17 is fixed in the tank, and ice dropping through the chute enters in the ice storage chamber subsequently. A clearance 18 for recovering powder ice or the thawing water produced at the time of separation of ice is provided between wall surfaces 17a and 17b on the tank side of the chute. A drain pan 19 for receiving drops of water recovered by the clearance is provided below the tank.
