<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording head which prevents water vapor of ink stored in an ink storage chamber for a long time from flowing out into a recess for a damper in a state of nonuniformity. SOLUTION: The recess 12 for the damper to release pressure variation in the ink storage chamber 9 through a diaphragm 5 is formed at a part corresponding to the ink storage chamber 9 in a head case 2, and an interconnecting hole 14 communicating the recess 12 for the damper with the outside is also formed. In this configuration, the vapor of the ink is introduced quite uniformly from the whole area of the ink storage chamber 9 into the damper recess 12. As a result, a cleaning suction power acting on a nozzle opening 8 uniformly acts on the whole ink in the ink storage chamber 9 even when a recording head is stored and left unused over a long term, so that a proper cleaning is performed, and ink droplets are discharged normally.</p> |
