PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault detecting device of a power sliding device for a vehicle sliding door capable of simply and surely detecting a fault of an electromagnetic brake. SOLUTION: In the power sliding device equipped with the electromagnetic brake 17 braking a wire drum 16 by making a solenoid 85 as a driving source and a switch transistor 86 energized to the solenoid 85 when it is turned ON by a Hi signal from an output port (1) of a controller 66 and OFF/ON by an Lo signal, the solenoid 85 is connected to the switch transistor 86 through a conductor 87 with a voltage level getting high when the switch transistor 86 is turned OFF and getting low when it is turned ON, and a middle part of the conductor 87 is connected to an input port (2) of the controller 66 through a fault detection circuit 84. By combining a signal from the output port (1) with the voltage level inputted to the input port (2), normality and abnormality of the solenoid 85 and the switch transistor 86 are separately detected. |
