PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heavy metal collecting polyurethane foam filter that has isotopic water permeability with industrially simple technique without caus ing opening of the filter cut part by hydraulic pressure. SOLUTION: This metal collecting filter is made of polyurethane foam and has a vertically penetrating hollow part at the center in columnar length direction, and a cut part ranging from external surface of the polyurethane foam to the hollow part, where the cut faces of the cut part are in close contact at normal condition and at least a part of the cut faces are in close contact over whole length direction at the time in use. Especially, the shape of the cut part is configured with the track of cutter blade which has the diagonal straight line to the center of the column or straight line and/or curve with flections.
