PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor for a spinning reel, which hardly catches a fishing line, keeps specific strength and corrects a rotational balance. SOLUTION: This rotor 3 for a spinning reel is rotatably attached to the front part of a reel main body and is used for winding a fishing line on a spool longitudinally movably fixed to the reel main body and is equipped with the rotor main body 15 and a bail arm 16. The rotor main body has a cylindrical part 20 which is rotatably attached to the front part of the reel main body, has a ring-shaped flange part 20a at the rear end part and can be arranged at the inner peripheral part of the spool, a first and a second rotor arms 21 and 22 which are separated from the cylindrical part and extended from the flange part forward and an overlapped part 20b for correcting a rotational balance, which is projected from the other part at either the front or the rear and fixed to the flange part. The bail arm is attached to the tips of both the rotor arms shakably to a fishing line winding position and a fishing line releasing position to guide a fishing line to the spool.
