PURPOSE: A portable phone charger is provided to automatically sterilize the transmitting unit of the portable phone whenever the portable phone is received in the charger. CONSTITUTION: A portable phone charger(100) comprises a receptacle unit formed into a slot shape, and which receives a portable phone(200) mounted with a battery so as to charge the battery; one or more charging lamps(112) which are turned on when the portable phone is received in the receptacle unit so as to indicate a battery charging state; and one or more ultraviolet lamps(114) arranged within the receptacle unit where a transmitter(210) of the portable phone is located when the portable phone mounted with the battery is received in the receptacle unit, so as to emit ultraviolet light for sterilization. The ultraviolet lamp is connected in parallel to the charging lamp in such a manner that the ultraviolet lamp is automatically turned on when the charging lamp is turned on.
